Before enabling a VPN, open a few ordinary sites and note your public IP, latency and approximate download speed. Connect once, check the IP again and repeat the same tasks. If possible, compare Wi-Fi and mobile data without changing the server or device at the same time.

One speed test is not a guarantee of call or video quality. Calls depend heavily on latency variation and packet loss, while video needs sustained throughput. Results also depend on signal strength, local congestion, the international route, server load and device performance. Change one factor per test so the result remains useful.
